Õpetaja Võrguvärav - Teachers Gateway to Internet - a place you may get caught. An introduction to project "Õpetaja Võrguvärav". It is meant to become an Internet Gateway for teachers and other educators where get different information in different professional matters - from Estonia as well as other countries; to discuss and exchange experiences with colleagues etc. This is a pilot-year of the project. Phare ISE programme CD-s. ISE programme has issued 3 CD-s for our schools over last 3 years. This article gives an overview of content of these. The first purpose of these CD-ROMs has been to introduce ISE Programme to our schools. In addition we have been trying to gather there documents that are important for our schools. but not so easily accessible; different software - free- and shareware and original materials designed in Estonia for our schools. Phare ISE Programme and teacher training. Information on 3 big teacher training programmes that where organised by ISE programme last year. "General Software and Internet in subject teaching" - 2 5-day workshops last August on island Hiiumaa, ran by Henia Deul and Drorit Wagner from Israel.

5 one-day training's on subject centred software for teachers of English, German, Art, Mathematics and History. Training's were ran by expert from Ireland - Nora O'Callaghan together with Estonian teachers - Katrin Saks, Inge Kangor, Tiiu Vendel, Tiiu Leibur and Sirje Klaos.

And workshop "Leading the Integration of ICT in Education" was organised in two sessions - November 1999 and February 2000. The trainer through both sessions was Gerry Murphy - expert from Ireland, director of St.John Primary School in Dundalk. Main topics of the course: Factors in successful implementation of ICT in schools; Planning and managing ICT development in schools; Classroom management of lessons involving ICT usage; Publishing lesson plans and web-based publishing Tools; Evaluation of educational software.
