December 13-14 - third IS software training for the second group of the representatives of pilotschools takes place in Saue.

December 10 - conference "IT in Järvamaa Schools" takes place in Türi. Tõnis Eelma makes the presentation "Using computers in school administration and Information Systems in Education".

December 8-9 - third IS software training for the first group of the representatives of pilotschools takes place in Tallinn.

December 6 - meeting of the ISE Steering Committee in Tallinn.

December 6 - Tõnis Eelma meets with the representatives of IST.

November 25 - IS Project Control Group meeting in Tallinn.

November 19-22 - Gerry Murphy ran 2 seminars "Leading the Integration of ICT in Education" for the representatives of pilotschools and Tiger Leap.

November 14-27 - Irish expert Gerry Murphy visited Estonia.

October 28 - IS Project Reference Group meeting in Tallinn.

October 7 - 14 workshops for Phare ISE pilotschool's history, math, german, english and art teachers took place in pilotschools. The trainer was Nora O'Callaghan from Ireland.

October 7 - IS Project Reference Group meeting in Tallinn.

October 4-15 - expert Nora O'Callaghan visited Estonia. She ran 5 different workshops for pilotschools teachers.

September 30 - October 1 - IS software training for the representatives of pilotschools takes place in Tallinn.

September 27-28 - IS software training for the pilotschools representatives takes place in Saue.

September 18 - Tõnis Eelma attended the seminar "Õpetaja Võrguvärav" ("Teachers Portal").

September 20 - Tõnis Eelma meets with the representatives of IC Systems and pilotschools and discusses IS translation problems.

September 15-16 - IS software training for the representatives of the Ministry of Education and counties takes place in Saue.

September 11 - October 25 - in-service training for the math teachers of the Järva County takes place.

September 7-17 - expert Ivan Mykytyn visited Estonia.

September 7-9 - representatives of SDO Lorna MacKay, Ivan Mykytyn and Phil Strange visited Estonia. The negotiations about the future of partnership took place.

September 6 - Tõnis Eelma meets with the representatives of IST and Ministry of Education.

September 3 - ISE coordinator's meeting in Tartu.

August 24-28 - Tõnis Eelma attends the EARLI (European Assotiation for Research on Learning and Instructions) yearly conference in Gothenburg. He makes the presentation "ICT in Estonian Schools".

August 18-19 and 23-24 - first IS software training for pilotschools takes place in Saue.

August 11 - IS software installation training in Saue.

On August 9-13 and August 16-20 there was a training “Basic Software and Internet in Subject Classes” taking place in Hiiumaa, Käina Gymnasium. The trainers came from Israel and the training was supported by the Foreign Ministry of Israel. The training was participated by 20 teachers of Phare ISE pilot schools and 10 Tiger Leap pilot teachers.

June 29-30 Tõnis Eelma, along with other ECDL Council members, visited ECDL Centre in Sweden - Dataföreningen

On June 27-28 ISE coordinators' meeting in Hiiumaa

June 18 - The contract between Archimedes Foundation and IST International Software Trading AB was signed in Tallinn.

On June 14 Rakvere Reaalgümnaasium was appointed to be the ECDL examination centre.

June 13-18 Terje Tuisk participated in a conference ComNed'99 in Hämeenlinna, Finland.

June 1 - Tõnis Eelma met with the national coordinator of "Europe at School" at the Ministry of Education.

May 21 – Terje Tuisk participated in a workshop “Computers and Information Technology in Subject Classes” in Ahtme Gymnasium. There were about 25 from Ahtme Gymnasium and from other schools of East Virumaa present. The presentations were given by Aimur Liiva from the Tiger Leap Foundation, Tatyana Lodeikina from Narva Gymnasium of Pähklimäe, Terje Tuisk from ISE Program and Phare ISE Program coordinator from Ahtme Gymnasium Oleg Lavrov.

On May 18 there was a round table meeting between the employees of Phare ISE Program and Tiger Leap Foundation employees.

On May 14, Terje Tuisk went to a complementary training provided by the Faculty of Natural Science Didactics of UT to give a presentation on ISE Program and international school projects. More information about the training available on http://www.ut.ee/biodida/indexop.htm.

On May 11 Tartu Descartes' Lütseum was appointed to be the ECDL examination centre.

On May 8, there was the Annual Conference of Tiger Leap Foundation.

April 29-30 - Terje Tuisk gave a presentation on the third international conference Baltic IT&T’99 – Information Technology and Telecommunications in Baltic State – that took place in Riga. The presentation was about Phare ISE Program and project learning.

April 20 - Collected works of Telematics'98 conference were published.

April 16 – ISE Coordinators’ meeting in Ahtme Gymnasium.

March 30 - Phare ISE Program newsletter no. 3 was published.

March 17 – Meeting of the ISE Steering Committee.

February 26 – Tõnis Eelma participated in the gathering of TH coordinators.

February 8 – February 12 – Information system procurement evaluation.

February 2 - Meeting of the ISE Steering Committee.

February 1 – Käina Gymnasium was appointed to be the ECDL examination centre.

January 28 – Tõnis Eelma gave a presentation about IT development programs in schools and ISE Program at a training for school managers of South-Estonian schools in Värska.

January 19 – Põlva High School was appointed to be the ECDL examination centre.

January 14-15 – the next meeting of pilot school coordinators. This time in Western Virumaa, Rakvere Gymnasium of Real Sciences and Mõedaku Ski Base.
